Artist Talk & Adult Workshop with Kelly Olshan

Join us for an evening of artmaking, play and learning at LICM!

LICM welcomes Kelly Olshan, a Brooklyn-based visual artist and arts manager. Her 3D paintings, installations, and public art works have been exhibited nationally. She is currently preparing for her solo museum show, Amethyst Playground, at the Long Island Children's Museum, running from January 31, 2026 through August 2, 2026. Amethyst Playground is a multi-sensory exhibit that will transform LICM’s outer lobby and Artists’ Corner gallery into an interactive world of abstract color, form and texture.  

Kelly will walk us through her artistic process, from idea, through fabrication and installation. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own pieces of art based on the materials and process that Kelly uses, that can either be taken home or incorporated into her upcoming LICM exhibit.
